Hi Carolyn

It has been a scary few weeks for us in Florida. I have lived here my entire life and have never experienced anything like this. The Fort Lauderdale area has been extremely lucky.

Our new puppy is adjusting like a champ. We've stayed at my parents (during the 1st hurricane), driven to Maryland for a week, gone to the Florida Keys for a weekend and to Orlando to visit our son at college since she's joined our family. She is amazing and is the best thing that has happened to us! And to my 14 year old pekingese, whom prior to getting Katarina, we thought she would not make it another few weeks. The old dog is now playing, eating and chewing on toys and cheweez.
